The HDR1, Bang & Olufsen's digital video recorder

Bang & Olufsen HDR1

Bang & Olufsen is pretty dang good at one thing: charging crazy expensive prices for nice-looking consumer electronics that won't necessarily blow you away in the specs department. And following in that fine tradition is the HDR1, a digital video recorder with an 80GB hard drive that's designed to go along with their line of TVs. The design is sweetness (though nothing that remarkable), but anyone expecting even a sliver of the functionality of a TiVo is going to be disappointed—there doesn't appear to be anything in the way of a programming guide to help you schedule recordings or the ability to record the high-def broadcasts you'd surely be watching on your B&O plasma display.
