CloseCall lets parents restrict their kids' incoming and outgoing calls

Wireless technology company MobilePro will be launching an MVNO (in partnership with Verizon) in its home state of Maryland within the next month, with its flagship product being CloseCall — a prepaid service aimed at parents who want to control their children's calling habits, as well as their spending habits. The service allows parents to restrict incoming and outgoing calls on their kids' mobiles to specific numbers only. Brilliant — why actually establish trust relationships with our children when we can develop technology to lock them down? MobilePro hopes to make scads off the untapped market of "teens, preteens and credit-challenged customers," but we're sure it's not about the money. It's because deep down, they really care.
