Minox just announced the 8.1 megapixel Minox DC 8111 digital camera today, but so far hasn't dropped any hints about price or availabilty. But what we do know is that the compact has an aluminum body, 3x optical zoom and 5.1x digital zoom, as well as automatic exposure and manual controls. It also packs a 2.5-inch LCD screen with LTPS-TFT technology (the LTPS is for Low Temperature Polysilicon), which Minox says'll give you a "brilliant and sharp" image display. On the storage side the camera uses SD cards with up to 1GB capacities (a 64MB card is included with the camera). Seems to hit all the right marks, if you ask us — let's hope they don't mess it up with the price, or something like that.
