Hands-on with the Samsung YP-T8
Meant to post this up yesterday along with the YP-U1, but the other day we also got a chance to play around with the YP-T8, Samsung's new flash-based player that can handle both audio and video. You probably have a pretty good idea by now whether you'll ever actually want to watch video on a 160 x 128 pixel, 1.8-inch display, but the YP-T8 has some good things going for it: it's way smaller and lighter than we thought it was gonna be, its 1.8-inch LCD screen is nice and bright (though it could have been a little crisper), and it has a 20 hour battery life (at least for music), an integrated FM radio, USB host capability, and support for playback of MPEG4 video files and MP3, WMA, and OGG audio files.
