Marriott rolling out LG HDTVs in 50,000 rooms
Way to go Marriott! There's nothing like a little HDTV after a long day of travel. The hotel chain announced that their full service hotels will be offering 32-inch widescreen LCD sets. Marriott worked the deal with LG Electronics and will roll out 50,000 sets over the next four years.
The LCDs will also integrate into a connectivity panel that allows travellers to connect other devices through the set, such as DVD players, MP3 players, video games and more. The panel appears "smart" in that it will configure the audio\video system to work automatically with your device. I like the multi-input approach so you can watch HD on one side of the screen and surf the web on the other. Nice!
