The 2005 Eastern Canadian Robot Games are almost here!

It's that time of year again folks, when friends and family gather together and give thanks for all they've accomplished. No, we're not talking about Thankstaking, but rather the annual Eastern Canadian Robot Games (which totally school the Western Games, we're told) being held this year on November 19th and 20th. Unlike the soccercentric RoboCup, these games consist of 10 separate events (not decathalon-style) which test the strength, skill, and/or intelligence of these hardened competitors, such as firefighting, walking, solar racing, and the always-popular sumo category. Since there's not much time left to build a bot from scratch, we suggest grabbing an old Transformer, duct taping some Hotwheels Lineriders to the feet, and you might just be ready to head north and enter the line-following event.
