Erector Speed Play kits include power-tool/motor, USB interface

Maybe we're a little old school, but we still think of Erector sets as being the kind of toys that let a budding architect or engineer put together buildings, cranes and other structures
by painstakingly screwing steel parts together by hand. But the company is trying to make the leap into the 21st century with its Speed Play line of toys, which include a power driver that not only makes assembly a lot quicker, but also doubles as a motor for the toys, which include a helicopter, motorcycle and — wow-wee — both a dinosaur and robot. The toys also include a USB interface, which lets you install sound effects and functionality from Erector's web site (and, we assume, from enterprising hackers).
