Impending video games industry boom?
Over at LoveToKnow there's an interesting article, Video Games Go Boom, looking at the current state of the games industry and what's in store. Without touching too deeply on the next-generation consoles, the article makes the point that to reach out to casual gamers and non-gamers alike games need to return to the fundamental concept of havingfun without being overly complex.
It's a fairly obvious and laboured point to make, but if you want a reasonably unbiased view (the writer does seem to be a Nintendo fan) of modern gaming, it's a useful read.
