Surprise! Consumers don't like cellphone service

In what will come as no big surprise to anyone who has used a cellphone for more than five minutes, Consumer Reports has a survey out that finds more than half of U.S. users dissatisfied with their cellphone service. The survey gave props to Verizon Wireless, which customers ranked as the top provider, but ranked Nextel last due to limited coverage (this should change after the company's pending merger with Sprint). Separately, the magazine also rated VoIP services, and recommended that customers who spend more than $60 per month for phone service should consider switching, but should keep a landline for emergencies, since some VoIP services don't include 911 access.
