Apple (slightly) updating PowerBooks

Peter Rojas

Not that we had any realistic hopes that Apple was going to blow us away with a PowerBook G5 tomorrow, but ThinkSecret (which has been completely on a tear lately) says that the best we can expect is a refresher of the current G4 models (on the other hand, the good news is that anyone who just bought a PowerBook won't feel like they wasted their money). Processor speeds on the 15-inch and 17-inchers will now top out at 1.67GHz (the 12-inch will get bumped up to 1.5GHz), you'll be able to get a 100GB hard drive on the most costly 15-inch and 17-inch models, they're doubling the memory on ATI's Radeon 9700 video card to 128MB, and adding support for Bluetooth 2.0.
