Ok, maybe we spoke too soon about it being too late for the HD-DVD and Blu-ray camps to set aside their differences and work together on a single next-generation DVD standard. Everyone's keeping it on the downlow, but EE Times reports that both camps are considering two different proposals to create a new hybrid standard that would borrow elements from both Blu-ray and HD-DVD.
