iPod photo RF mystery solved

iPod Photo

If you've got an original iPod photo and couldn't get your RF remote to work properly with it, here's why: most RF remotes operate at 433.92 MHz, and the first-gen iPod photo was creating interference at 432.00 MHz — close enough to affect the RF signals (the problem doesn't affect iPod photos produced after February 2005). Of course, this info doesn't do anything to solve the problem, and we still don't know what component of the iPod photo actually causes the interference, but at least we know it's not due to poltergeists.
