The inside scoop on Sprint's EV-DO rollout
Still haven't been able to get our hands on a coverage map (yet), but we did manage to get the lowdown on the current status of Sprint's high-speed EV-DO network rollout. They've quietly flipped the switch on EV-DO in Kansas City, as well as the Port Columbus International Airport, Columbus, Ohio, and the Charlotte International Airport in Charlotte, NC. Coverage at airports in Las Vegas, Raleigh-Durham, Cleveland, Des Moines, St. Louis, and New Orleans is coming soon. Sprint doesn't have any cellphones that are compatible with EV-DO, so if you feel like taking the network for a spin you'll have to use the Sierra Wireless 580 (pictured at right), that EV-DO wireless laptop card Sprint introduced back in March.
