Agilent introduces tricolor LEDs
Agilent Technologies recently introduced two side-firing, tricolor surface-mount LEDs intended for use in handheld devices. These new LEDs will let PDA and cellphone makers mix separate red, green and blue light sources in any combination, meaning status indicators and the like will have jazzier blinkin' lights than ever before. The devices are available now with the Agilent HSMF-C113 priced at $0.58 each, and the HSMF-C115 at $1.00 each — in 1,000-piece quantities, that is.
