CNG MPEC - portable media player with head-mounted display

Here's one way to deal with the tiny screens on all of those portable media players: The MPEC Mobile Personal Entertainment Center from CNGTEK does away with the display entirely, replacing it with a head-mounted display that the company says creates a virtual 30-inch screen a couple of inches from the viewer's eyes. Other than that, it has a fairly basic set of media player features, including AVI, MPEG and MP3 playback, SD card slot (no hard drive), and a 4-hour battery life. While the list price of $649 seems a little steep — especially given the lack of a hard drive — it could be worth it just for the looks (and privacy) you'll get using this on the bus or train.
