palmOne becomes Palm on July 14th
We were hoping they'd give us a little more time to brace for the upheaval, but palmOne says that they'll be officially changing their name to "Palm" a little sooner than we'd expected; as of July 14th the name "palmOne" must never pass our lips again. Buying PalmSource's half of the Palm brand name will probably end up being the worst $26.7 million they ever spent (don't hate us, but we actually sorta like the name "palmOne"), but apparently the top dogs at palmOne thought that sharing the name "Palm" was just a little too confusing for everyone.
