The Space Shuttle Discovery is expected to return to space on July 13th, and HDNet is there to provide full 1080i coverage of the launch. Using 14 individual cameras at Kennedy Space Center, HDNet will begin coverage at 11:00 AM ET, pending any schedule changes due to flight activities.

HDNet has cameras throughout the launch area, ranging from the NASA control room, the astronaut's breakfast area and even the launching pad. One of the Shuttle tracking sites will be equipped with a special lens that will provide a 1080i picture for up to 33 miles up in the atmosphere.
