Rockwall County wants their HDTV!

Wow, I wish my local officials were into HDTV as much as these folks in Texas. The Rockwall City Council is turning up on the heat on Charter Cable and actually ordered Charter to provide HDTV to subscribers by the end of the year!

Charter will allegedly be in breach of contract if they don't deliver the HD goods, which could indicate a new cable contract with another provider. The Council is also pushing for DVR services through Charter, but appears willing to wait longer for digital recording services. We're with Rockwall on that; get the programming first and then get a way to record it!
