What we're watching and why:

The destruction of the Gulf region is the focus of tonight's premiere episode of "HDNet World Report Special: The Devastation on the Gulf Coast." It airs at 8 p.m. on HDNet. This is probably your only chance to see the destruction of New Orleans and surrounding areas in high definition. It's followed at 8:30 p.m. on HDNet by another premiere episode of Rick Steves' Europe, which this time takes us to "Budapest: The Best of Hungary."
