Stash your plasma in a fake fireplace

If you're really into hiding your investment in a plasma set, you might as well go all the way and stick it in a really tacky fake fireplace. The Plasma TV Fireplace from the U.K.'s Picture House is a remote-controlled electric fireplace with cheesy "flame effects" and a fan that forces heat out in an attempt to mimic a real fireplace. The remote also controls the motorized lift that pops the plasma set out of the top of the mantle. We have to admit, this has a certain 60s bachelor-pad style to it; if Austin Powers had a plasma set, he probably would have hidden it in one of these — or more likely, he would have tried, and would've ended up toasting it in a real fireplace instead.
