Blu-Ray camcorder coming from Sony
Why a Blu-Ray camcorder, you ask? Because we all want to be the first on our block to spend $22,000 on a camcorder, that's why. That and because we might want to show our crappy home-movies on a PS3.
Sony started sharing details on their next gen Blu-Ray 'corder at this month's International Broadcast Convention in Amsterdam. Ok, it's really geared for the broadcasting professional, but computers were once only in research facilities and now I hear they're everywhere. The new line will extend Sony's XDCAM tapeless camcorders that are currently used in professional venues such as 'Rock Star; INXS." We'll keep watching for details and saving all of our pennies too.
