Palm offers a Treo 650 SIM tray replacement

Treo 650 basic image

In case you missed it, Palm is offering a Cingular Treo 650 SIM tray replacement — perhaps in response to getting sued over faulty Treo 650s. The older, faulty trays are apparently the cause of the device resetting or the radio shutting off when the 650 is "bumped or tapped." No, you don't have to send back your 650, just follow the instructions from Cingular or Palm to get your swank new, user-installable ribbed SIM tray for free — even if it doesn't fix your 650 problem, at least the ribbed tray feels better, dig.
