UTStarcom's F3000 WiFi b/g VoIP phone coming mid-December?
It looks like UTStarcom's retro-cell designed F1000 WiFi VoIP phone carried by Vonage is in for an update. While we don't have any details directly from UTStarcom or Vonage on this, voipsupply.com is offering a $210 pre-order of the F3000 802.11b/g clamshell with 65K color 128x160 LCD with mid-Decemeber shipping date. In addition to 64/128bit WEP support, the F3000 also introduces WPA/MD5 authentication and is expected to be fully SIP compliant according to Tom's Networking, though, oddly, this is not in the spec listing.
