Skype has just released a long-awaited upgrade to the Skype for Pocket PC client. More accurately, two new versions have been released: one for models with higher-speed processors and one optimized for devices with processors under 300 MHz. Both versions now support Windows Mobile 5.0, along with landscape and square (240 x 240 and 480 x 480) screen orientations. Other minor enhancements include support for new languages, the addition of a call forwarding icon, and several bug fixes regarding voicemail. While lower-speed processor support will certainly be a boon to many, Skype cautions that external WiFi cards will not work when making calls from 300 MHz or slower models.
