Rig of the Day: The Phosphoimager
Ok, we admit it. This photo was chosen partly for the nice (and still active) 8600 in the shot, and partly to put up a post that contains the word "phosphoimager." According to rnafan, the photographer, a phosphoimager is "...a piece of equipment that scans radioactivity." I like that it sounds as cool as Calvin's Transmogrifier.
