Next-Gen Mortal Kombat opens a whole new chapter
If you've been following the Mortal Kombat universe, you know that the latest installment, Mortal Kombat: Armageddon, saw the end of many storylines and characters. It's the final battle between good and evil! That's the end of it, right? No more krazy kombat? Nah. It's just the end of this console generation and in the minds of the MK team, the end of the fighting mechanics we're used to.
On the next game, we've been told to expect "a bunch of brand new characters, a whole new fighting system, a new presentation with the new graphics for the new consoles, as well as a new control scheme to take advantage of some of the new technology available." This is coming from Ed Boon, creative director of the MK team. So it's all going to be new! Well, a few of the old character may stick around, but even so, this is great news! This intrepid blogger always enjoys new installments of a series where the slate is wiped clean, so to speak.
