Kodak intros next EasyShare in Z-series

Kevin C. Tofel

Don't rush out right yet for the next-gen Z650 because this compact zoomer isn't likely to hit retail shelves until next month for $349 list. Kodak's Z650 tacks on some features usually found in higher end cameras, such as an exposure histogram and burst modes; while the bursting sounds painful, it comes in handy at the beginning (or the end) of image grouping when you've got several frames to capture. Don't think the Z650 is just for the advanced crowd, it still keeps plenty of the easy-to-use features that the EasyShare series is named for. Obviously the sharing is still easy and the "oldies but goodies" like red-eye reduction and 17 picture modes keep it simple but effective.
