Top Spin 2 ships April 7

Yesterday, we noted Take Two's fiscal blues were due in part to having pushed back release dates on key sports titles. One of those titles, Top Spin 2, is now set to be released on April 7 for Xbox 360, GBA, and DS.

For those keeping score, the original Top Spin debuted on Xbox a few years back and was considered by many to be the most authentic tennis sim around. Developer PAM is still behind the scenes, but Take Two's 2K Sports took over the franchise from Microsoft and released a Top Spin update for PS2 this past September to lukewarm reviews. Top Spin 2 contains a similar roster of players as the PS2 release, but the 360 visuals means more polygons for Maria Sharapova.
