2006 Weblog Awards nominations open

We know, we don't normally do this, but we thought if any loyal Joystiq readers lost their way and happened to find themselves staring at a nomination form for the Sixth Annual Weblog Awards, and thought a couple categories sounded like perfect fits for your favorite video game blog...

Alright, we're asking you to nominate Joystiq if you'd like. Nominations are only open until 10PM EST tonight (January 10). Of course this doesn't mean we'll win anything; the nomination process is long and involved, with many levels, lots of magic coins to collect, several boss fights, all for a chance to make it to the final stage.

"Sorry, your princess is in another nomination phase."

If we reach the final stage, a giant battle will ensue. We may not make it, and there are no continues, but we've been practicing all year. Here goes nothing...
