Sanyo's new kiddiephone for Japan, the SA800i

We haven't seen a lot of child themed flip phones, at least in the US, but Sanyo has a new one out for Japan that mimics their previous offerings while keeping things a bit simpler. The SA800i is all about the GPS tracking, with abilities to report the location of the phone at a certain time interval, even when off. The battery is designed to be hard to remove, and the phone sends out a signal when it is being switched off to notify parents of its location. To further its cause of child protection, the phone also includes an emergency cord that when pulled sounds a 100 decibel alarm and notifies emergency contact numbers of the location of the phone and that the cord has been pulled. (What could possibly go wrong?) No word on the camera's resolution, and the external LCD isn't near as impressive as Sanyo's A5520SA predecessor, but this phone sounds plenty functional for a protective parent.
