Microsoft adding VoIP dialer to Windows Mobile?

PDA-NEWS is reporting that a "trusted source" has informed them of Microsoft's plan to release a SIP-enabled VoIP dialer for phones sporting Windows Mobile 5.0 Pocket PC Phone Edition. According the the source, the dialer is to be an unobstrusive app that only works over WiFi, not 3G, which would surely not make it popular among wireless carriers. Still, with Microsoft's strong push into the smartphone sector, customer demand may force carriers to offer WM5 handsets even with features they find unappealing.
