2K acquires Dungeon Siege publishing rights

Alan Rose

The Dungeon Siege franchise has seen more publishers and developers than game installments. Following in the footsteps of Microsoft and Atari, 2K Games has acquired publishing rights to both Dungeon Siege II: Broken World for the PC, and also Dungeon Siege: Throne of Agony for the PSP.

The PC expansion pack is scheduled for a summer release and will feature an updated multi-class character development system, in addition to a new campaign and playable race. The Legends of Aranna expansion for the original game was produced by Mad Doc Software. However, Gas Powered Games will handle development duties this time around and will team up with SuperVillain Studios for the series' PSP debut this Fall.
