Fox plans fourth quarter Blu-ray launch
With only a few studios enjoying the Hi-Def movies business, Fox is still planning on sitting out a few more months. With the third quarter just around the corner, Fox has announced that they will release roughly 20 HD titles on Blu-ray in the fourth quarter, which could mean October 1st or December 31st. While we wish they would commit to a firm date and some of their great TV shows like 24, we are excited by the titles they do mention; Ice Age 2, X-Men: The Last Stand, Omen 666 and Garfield 2.
Call us a little skeptical, but we will believe it when we see it. We am not sure why, but we can't help but to expect to see alot of second rate movies and older catalog titles. We admit that the other studios have left a bad impression on us.
