Live top ten: where's Lost Planet? [update 1]
Major Nelson has posted his usual breakdown of the top ten Xbox Live titles, and there is a curious absence. After trumpeting worldwide shipments of 1 million units, Capcom's Lost Planet is missing from the list entirely. It looks like it's still too early for Lost Planet to make an impact. Even if half of the 1 million shipped copies actually sold, that's still significantly less than the number of copies of mainstays like Oblivion and Gears. And of course, the game only launched this past Friday. We do expect, however, that Lost Planet will make it onto next week's top ten. Check out the current list after the break.

Update: Added the most obvious reason for Lost Planet's absence, its ship date. As punishment for my stupidity, I will subject my self to endless viewings of Jingle All the Way, starring Arnold Schwarzenegger.
