VC Monday Madness: post-game wrap-up 2/26/07

Well, it's that magical time of the week again where Wii owners get to download fresh digital data via the console's Virtual Console service. This week we've only got three titles, however one is easily argued as being the greatest game ever made (damn you Water Temple designers). So let's take a dip in the digital distribution service and see if these games are worth your hard-earned Wii Points, shall we?

The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time (N64, 1 player, 1,000 Wii Points)
Wii Fanboy says: download it!

If you don't have it in its other forms, we suggest downloading this immediately.

Chew Man Fu (TurboGrafx16, 1 - 2 players, 600 Wii Points)
Wii Fanboy says: download it!

For only 600 Wii Points, a puzzle fan can have their fill of this fun Bomberman-like action game. The multiplayer drives the value up, as well, and is very much like the Japanese game Pengo. We suggest you give this a look-see ...

Bio-Hazard Battle (Sega Genesis, 1 - 2 players, 800 Wii Points)
Wii Fanboy says: do not download

Side-scrolling shooters are a dime a dozen, and with similar features across all titles, it's hard to find games that stand out in this genre. Bio-Hazard Battle is not one of them. We suggest you stick to the better title Gradius for your side-scrolling, shoot-em-up fix.

And there it is. Another week of Virtual Console releases. If you have the extra dough, we suggest you grab Chu Man Fu, however if you're really only limited to one purchase this week, go for gold and get The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. As always, if you have any tips or rumors regarding Nintendo's Virtual Console service, be sure to let us know and come back next week when we take a look at the latest titles available on the Nintendo Wii.
