VC Monday Madness: video wrap-up 5/7/07

Here we are, with another week of releases and another week of our VC Monday Madness coverage. This week brings us a solid line-up of titles, and even though Nintendo is hooking us up with video of the games now, they aren't as quick as us here at Wii Fanboy. We're good like that.

So, head past the post break for the pictures and text, or catch the video above. Or do both! Choices, that's what we like here at Wii Fanboy.

Ordyne (1 - 2 players, TurboGrafx16, 600 Wii points)
Wii Fanboy says: do not download

This game, which as you can see is a side-scrolling shoot-em-up, offers up a weapons upgrade system that allows a lot of freedom, as well as gameplay inspired by Gradius, but overall it isn't that great of a game. For 600 Wii Points, we can't really recommend downloading it.

Mighty Bomb Jack (1 player, NES, 500 Wii Points)
Wii Fanboy says: do not download

Mighty Bomb Jack is a quirky platforming title, one we felt started off strong but soon fell flat afterwards. The action is farily quick and tense, but the gameplay gets fairly boring in the long run. As such, we can't suggest shelling out 500 Wii Points for it.

Final Fight (1player, SNES, 800 Wii points)
Wii Fanboy says: download it!

Final Fight is a classic, one we can easily recommend you download if you do not own it in some other form already. This is a game that we have fond memories of playing into the long hours of the night, working towards good grades in school just so we could get the free rentals so that we could play it some more (West Coast Video, a movie rental joint, used to give out free rentals for every A on your report card). Seriously, download it and piledrive someone.

As always, if you have any tips or rumors regarding Nintendo's Virtual Console service, be sure to let us know and come back next week when we take a look at the latest titles available on the Nintendo Wii.
