Guildwatch: Well that's one way to do it

I'm so excited. Next week, finally, my guild is going to roll with a full 25-man group, and head into Gruul's Lair to try and take the big guy down. We haven't raided together in a full group in quite a long time (it's been 5mans and Karazhan, of course), so I can't wait to see some action like High King Maulgar here (this is Shadow Fate's kill, complete with extra adds-- see below).

It's Tuesday, which means it's time once again for your weekly dose of guild drama, downings, and recruiting notices, brought to you by tipsters from all over the realm of Azeroth. If you've got a good tip (and we're sure you do), please send it away to wowguildwatch@gmail.com for next week's column. Meanwhile, hit the link below to read about this week's hot guild-on-guild action.

DRAMA

  • Gnome Ravagers of Terenas-H were reported here a few weeks ago downing the old bosses, and now it seems they're going through Karazhan drama (right on schedule). They're losing players who want to run the endgame (and don't think they can with the guild), and a returning player has apparently called "shotgun" on a few key players, leaving a good part of the guild out of the loop. Isn't drama fun? Don't worry, guys, you'll survive it. Everyone else did.

  • Merger rumor: Preloaded and Wergild, both on Dethecus, may be merging.

  • You guys need to let me know this stuff at least a week in advance! The Raiders of the Lost Rum (winner of this week's Best Guild Name award!) are on Moon Guard-A, and recently held a "Booze Cruise" on the boat between Booty Bay and Ratchet. They said they planned to hand out lots of rum, get naked, and even run a few contests. Hopefully it went awesome, and they got a few new recruits (they're currently recruiting all levels and classes). If your guild is doing something cool social-wise like that, let us know (as soon as possible, please, we publish every Tuesday).

  • Awww I'm sorry to hear this one. The experimental two class guild, Kytharion Enclave on Dalaran-A, who we reported were recruiting only druids and shamans a few weeks ago, has disbanded. The GM Kydrick sent a message to a guildie saying "The guild has been Disbanded for many reasons... all you need to know." Apparently former guildies are angry he wiped the guild without letting someone else take over, but last I checked, starting up a new guild is only 10g-- someone keep that druid/shaman guild dream alive!

DOWNED

  • Argent Exodus on Steamwheedle Cartel-A dropped Gruul on May 1st, raidleader Aildiin's birthday! Grats and happy birthday! Don't tell anybody, but mine was the 6th.

  • Controlled Anarchy on Destromath-A have one-shotted everything up to and including the Big Bad Wolf. They're also recruiting shaman, a couple mages, and one hunter.

  • Blood Reign rolled through the Chess Event, and then after the reset went back and one-shotted Midnight and Moroes with only 2 deaths the whole time. Whenever my guild kills a boss without anyone dying, I like to /yell "FLAWLESS VICTORY." Does that make me weird?

  • Shadow Fate from Warsong-H dropped High King Maulgar, and even though it went a little rough (10 deaths and whoops, an add), they're still willing to share the whole thing with you-- check out the video above. Go shaman elementals GO!

  • Disciples of Honor of Neptulon-H killed Attumen with two friends from Sober Kannibals and only 9 people in the raid. Great! How long until we see a 5man Karazhan?

  • Clowns on Fire on Stormrage-A killed Gruul. I'd really like to make a joke about their guild name, but I can't think of anything tasteful. I'll let it go.

RECRUITING

  • THC on Aerie Peak-A EU are raiding Kara and want some experienced raiders (those who did BWL, AQ, and Naxx) to join up with them for Gruul and beyond

  • Vangards of Azeroth on Sargeras-A want some good people for casual raiding. They raid Pacific and Mountain time, and Ventrilo is required.

  • Letum Immortalis (I have no idea what that means-- immortal lettuce?) on Whisperwind is recruiting priests, holy pallys, druids and warlocks who enjoy long walks on the beach and raiding. The guild itself is "family-friendly but can also kick ass AND chew bubblegum." Now that's talented! Usually I wait until I'm all out of one to do the other.

  • The Lords of Time on Garona-A specifically wants priests, tanking paladins, and "split-tree shamans" (you mean like an eleresto shaman?). Lord knows they need it, too-- they're running Slave Pens with three hunters, a shaman, and a tree. Eesh.

  • Power Word Drunk on Bleeding Hollow-H (who just narrowly missed this week's Best Guild Name award, and would have gotten it if they were the only ones who mentioned alcohol-- you can see where my priorities lie) are recruiting all classes at level 70. Please be fun, mature, ready to PvP and raid, and have Teamspeak.

  • No MAAM from Blackrock-A wants level 70 oceanic players to hit up Magtheridon and beyond. Bring your raid experience and your gear.

  • The Attuned (Guild and Raiding Society) on Earthen Ring EU are seeking level 70s for fun and adventure in endgame raiding. They're experienced and are looking for a few select players that they're willing to bring up with them into Kara and beyond.

  • Drunk and Disorderly on Earthen Ring want a couple mages and a couple holy pallies to join them in Karazhan (they might be swayed if you're a great shaman, priest or warlock).

That's it for this week's GW. As always, get those tips early and often to wowguildwatch@gmail.com, and we'll love you for it. Until next week, go Gruul or go home!
