60 reasons to own a PSP: part 2

Thought we gave up after the first five reasons? Impossible! (All sixty are already written, folks.) Let's not waste any more time. Here's the next five reasons you should own a PSP, courtesy of TCLCloud:

6. Download, or convert your own videos
Freeware programs, like PSP Video 9, make it easy to convert videos from your computer for playback on the PSP. Ever since firmware 3.30, users have been able to playback full 480x272 resolution video on the PSP, getting UMD-quality results absolutely free. Services like Connect and PSP Fanboy Theatre sweeten the deal by offering new video content every week.

7. UMD Movies
Certainly, a failed movie format doesn't deserve to be on this list? Wrong. UMD may not have taken off like Sony wanted it to, but gamers still win. New titles are still coming out every week, and the prices have plummeted to something far easier to swallow: usually $5-$10 for a single disc. These videos easily trump the quality offered by Apple's iTunes Store ... and now come at a competitive price.

8. Music playback
Your DS can't do this: play MP3, WMA, ATRAC and WAV files on your PSP, with visualizations. With iTunes Plus and Connect, you can even legally purchase music to play on your system.

9. Image galleries and slideshows
Sure, your PSP can be used to store your own photos. But, why stop there? There are tons of sites that are dedicated in providing PSP-formatted magazines and comics. If you haven't downloaded it yet, you must try out NYC 2123: it looks absolutely beautiful on your PSP's widescreen.

10. Memory Stick compatible with other devices
When you buy a Memory Stick for your PSP, chances are, it'll also work in another device in your home. PS3 connectivity is obvious, and its applications are plentiful: transfer movies and photos to and from your PSP and PS3 with ease by inserting the Memory Stick directly into the system. One memory card can be used in a variety of devices ... perfect for those that purchased cards with large amounts of free space. And, if you're lucky, your Memory Stick will come with a free bonus.)
