VC Monday Madness video wrap-up 07/30/07

The switch over to YouTube has been working out, wouldn't you say? We're glad to have our video up so quickly, not forced to wait the hours for it to compress over at GT anymore. Check it out above, then head past the post break for the rest of our coverage.

Star Soldier (NES, 1 player, 500 Wii Points)
Wii Fanboy says: download it!

Star Soldier is one intense game. The action never stops and the title constantly challenges the player. If you're going to download any game this week, make sure it is this one.

Dynamite Headdy (Sega Genesis, 1 playe, 800 Wii points)
Wii Fanboy says: do not download

All of the usual elements of a platformer made their way into Dynamite Headdy, however the game fails to maximize the potential of any of these mechanics. The hero has different abilities that help him traverse the environments, but these environments hardly offer up any engaging content. The minigames are a good attempt at breaking up the monotony, though.

Drop Off
(TurboGrafx16, 1 player, 600 Wii points)
Wii Fanboy says: do not download

When we were playing Drop Off, we found ourselves becoming pretty sick of the title after mere minutes. It's a title that lacks all of the variety and strategy that the puzzle genre thrives on, trading those mechanics in for this mindless affair. Steer clear of this one, folks.

That concludes our look at this week's Virtual Console games. As always, if you have any tips or rumors regarding Nintendo's Virtual Console service, be sure to let us know and come back next week when we take a look at the latest titles available on the Nintendo Wii.
