Mail from Rockstar terrifies blogger

I received a mysterious letter in the mail today. As the lead blogger of PSP Fanboy, it's not unusual for game companies to try to contact me through the post. But, I was puzzled ... no, scared about what could be from the "Dixmor Hospital for the Criminally Insane." Questions started buzzing in my head: How did they get my address? Did I accidentally leak it on the Internet? I was terrified that some creepy Internet-stalker-fan had somehow illegally referred me to a mental institute. And trust me, I keep on telling the voices that I don't need to go to one!

Well, it appears as though I got punk'd by Rockstar. This letter was created to promote Rockstar's upcoming Manhunt 2 for PSP, PS2 and Wii (yeah, it's still surprising). The package came with two bloodied wrist straps and a pretty ominous letter about Danny Lamb and Leo Kasper, supposed "serious threat[s] to society."

This PR stunt is, well, supposed to generate buzz about the game. It looks like it worked, because it really got me. Let's hope that Rockstar's mail department doesn't get too creative next time and starts sending mysterious white powders in the mail.
