Verizon Action Hero theme and pic pack

Dustin Burg

Adding to our laundry list of free themes and gamer pictures is Verizon's Action Hero. And no, it isn't a movie sponsored by Verizon or is it anything else that is easily explained. Instead, Action Hero is a website where you can create your own mini action movie using the cartoonish characters they supply. Why? Because it's a marketing promotion to prove how wicked fast and cool Verizon broadband is. Yeah ... don't worry about the details. Just know that Verizon is promoting their broadband and want you to download their free goods and be happy. But be warned, the theme is rather disgusting from an aesthetically pleasing point of view.

Verizon owns Engadget's parent company, Oath (formerly AOL). Rest assured, Verizon has no control over our coverage. Engadget remains editorially independent.
