New Second Life release candidate viewer: 1.19.0(RC4)

Linden Lab has released a new 1.19.0 release candidate viewer, 1.19.0(RC4), fifth in the 1.19.0 series (release candidates start counting from zero, rather than from one).

We've only got two fixes in this release, so it looks like it is the last. If this release passes the acid-test of being in front of users, there wouldn't seem to be any barrier to releasing this as the official viewer later in the week or early next.

Today's fixes:

  • VWR-4921: not recognizing in Linux that client is already running

  • VWR-4960: Active Speakers list does not clear in 1.19.0 (2)

Release candidate viewers access your live account on the main Second Life grid (Agni). Potentially they may cause hair-loss in pets, and should be always be kept out of reach of children. The downloads are served by Amazon's S3 service and we use and recommend the use of a download manager to keep your download times to a minimum.

You can download this viewer from the usual place. The download for Windows is 34MB, Mac OSX is 70MB, and Linux is 53MB.

If the original post looks familiar, that's because it is the earlier RC3 release post, updated.
