Who doesn't love original artwork that expresses the essence of your character? We were captivated by the character sketch Elnore of Argent Dawn-US sent us to go with her recent profile in 15 Minutes of Fame. As it turns out, the guildmate behind the artwork has just begun to accumulate a small portfolio of simple sketches.

"I've been sketching since I can remember, really, but not seriously until I was a teenager," says Aigie. "I enjoy challenging myself with different perspectives and the process at which I got from point A to point B. This is why I use Artpad for most of my sketching. Sure, it's not the top of the line program and it's free -- but it has a replay button, and you can see the logical process in which my work evolves. (And did I mention it was free? Hehe.)"

"I added my Photobucket so I can show the things I can do with a more sophisticated program, but the Warlock in Felheart is an ink sketch," she continues. "I love experimenting with different sketching techniques. I mostly sketch my own characters, and sometimes other people's (with Elnore's character). Female Dwarves are very common for me to draw because you don't see them often, and I kind of like to purposely pick something that isn't common and specialize in it. Female Dwarf power!"

Watch Aigie's drawings develop before your eyes (like mini-movies; you can control the speed or skip to the end) on Artpad:

We hope to see more from Aigie as she develops her portfolio. Dwarf power, indeed!

Coming soon
The editors of the upcoming geek crafts book we discussed last month were so thrilled with our submissions (and your recommendations) that not only did they choose a contributor to represent World of WarCrafts in the book, but they'd like to highlight several other top-notch nominees as well. We'll update you on who'll be appearing in the forthcoming publication as soon as we've ironed out the details on how many crafters we'll be able to include. Way to go, WarCrafts artisans!
