Rumor: Apple planning 'premium' games section in iPhone App store
You have a cool gizmo, a highly desired whatchamacallit and everyone that has ever met you is incredibly jealous. Well, your life is about to get a whole lot better, as rumor has it Apple is looking into creating a premium section for iPhone games on the App store.
The word on the street is that these premium games would also fetch a premium price: $19.99. This dedicated area would only be restricted to a small number of the platform's larger publishers. Of course, neither Apple nor any of the larger publishers developing for the iPhone (Gameloft, EA) were willing to comment on the story.
When will we know more? PocketGamer directs our attention to WWDC (Apple's Worldwide Developer Conference) in June, a likely target for any such announcement.
