Hollywood effects studio Digital Domain getting into games

Justin McElroy

In these days when studios seem to be closing faster than we can write posts about them, it's nice to see someone new getting into the game. Digital Domain, a Hollywood effects studio that's worked on films like A Curious Case of Benjamin Button, has opened a Florida expansion (cleverly titled Digital Domain Florida), which it says (via Variety) will focus on "videogames, animation and even military simulation graphics."

DD (can we call you DD?), since you're new here, we're going to offer some free advice. A Curious Case of Benjamin Button: The Game would be a huge, huge hit. It would, as we say in the video game biz, "sell a lot of copies." ... No, you can trust us on this. We're a website.
