WRUP: Our favorite things edition

Do you ever find yourself curious as to what the Massively team does in its copious free time? This week's WRUP is your chance to find out -- and, of course, add to the conversation by talking about what you're up to in-game this weekend. Beyond our standard query of what are you playing, we also asked everyone what their favorite television show was (because you can't play MMOs all the time, can you?). Is your curiosity piqued yet? If so, click on to see what the Massively team is doing this weekend -- and to let us know what you're getting into, game-wise or television-wise.

  • Dan O'Halloran: More LotRO. More Mass Effect. And I can't stop playing the iPhone app game Plants vs. Zombies. It's a fun tower defense kind of game. It got me through a very long day of jury service. Also getting sucked into the Facebook TCG Warstorm. Good stuff. Favorite TV show(s): Nurse Jackie, Glee, Randy Jackson's America's Best Dance Crew. Go west coast!

  • Eliot Lefebvre: My e-mail decided to implode, so I had to get a new one. Amidst that and a potential big career change, I might take advantage of Steam's sale on STO and spin around the galaxy in a nice big spaceship. Or perhaps I'll continue leveling a villain to the stage where I can get access to the Soldiers of Arachnos come Issue 17. Decisions, decisions. My favorite show is easily Lost. I didn't actually bother watching it for the first several seasons (I didn't have television, long story), but I finally caught up and have been watching the final season since it started.

  • Seraphina Brennan (@sera_brennan): I'm all about playtesting the pen and paper RPG that I'm writing this weekend. Hopefully the playtest will go over well, so I can keep advancing the statistics system and add more abilities past the ones that are already there. And, hopefully, no one will completely break my system. Then again, this is a playtest, so people breaking things will inevitably occur. Beyond that, all EverQuest II, all the time. I need to get me some levels! Bonus Question: Leverage or Burn Notice. I'm still torn between who's the better lead character, Nathan Ford or Michael Weston. Weston has the awesome spy tricks and snarky attitude, but Ford has the drinking problem and the "I played you right into my trap" abilities. It's a hard call.

  • Kyle Horner (@kylehorner): This weekend is a blend of StarCraft II beta, Supreme Commander 2, and Star Trek Online. Should be a busy couple of days!

  • Krystalle Voecks (@Krystalle): Will be playing a bit of Allods Online with some friends. I'm curious to see how the cash shop situation plays out. Beyond that, there's new content in Age of Conan and EverQuest II to check out, so I'll undoubtedly be playing those as well. As far as TV, I catch Good Eats thanks to my DVR. Alton Brown is awesome. The rest of the time, I'm more likely to be watching documentaries via Netflix or Hulu than watching regular TV.

  • Tateru Nino (@taterunino): Dead for tax reasons. I'll be trying to balance a whole bunch of SL stuff, project management and meetings with being just plain ill and trying to shake that off. Taking things for it just makes me sleepy. Favorite TV? Hard to pick. The Avengers (1961-1969).

  • Shawn Schuster (@SSchuster): Now that Free Realms released their new mounts, I imagine I'll be playing that all weekend with the kids. As for favorite TV shows, I don't have a TV, but I do make sure to catch The Office and Lost online every week.

  • Rubi Bayer (@Rubi_) DDO for me this weekend as I run through the scavenger hunt in the Marketplace, and I hope to check out Runes of Magic as well. Favorite TV Show? Bones, easily.

So, that's what we're doing this weekend -- now it's your turn. What are you playing this weekend?
