WRUP: The Halo: Reach invasion
The Halo: Reach beta is on, like, so on. Today we were introduced to something a little bit more team-oriented with Invasion mode. Remember that the Reach beta ends on May 19, so just keep reachin' out for those Halo hits while you can, because that multi-month withdrawal is going to be brutal.
What's everyone playing this weekend?
Alexander Sliwinski (@XanderSliwinski): Battlefield: Bad Company 2 ... because that's what I do. Also, Just Cause 2, if it shows up from GameFly.
Andrew Yoon (@scxzor): I don't know how anyone in the world finds time to play video games. That being said, if I can figure out a way to spend some time alone, I will be making my through Alan Wake.
Ben Gilbert (@BigBossBgilbert): With friends in town visiting, the most gaming I'll be doing is Rock Band 2 and maybe a bit of Super Smash Bros. Melee. Also, enjoying one of the last few Dock Street Brewing experiences before skipping town.
Christopher Grant (@ChrisGrant): When I'm not busy castigating young Ben for being a quitter who quits things [Ed. note: Ben is not quitting Joystiq, just leaving Philly] I'll be working on Final Fantasy XIII and ... no, I think that's it. I need to finish this ish!
David Hinkle (@DaveHinkle): My weekend will most likely be a combination of Skate 3 (review goes live on Tuesday morning!) and the Halo: Reach beta. I also want to get back to Metro 2033, but the streets are still a messy place and I may need to participate in a fight or twelve to clean 'em up.
Griffin McElroy (@griffinmcelroy): I cannot believe it took me this long to purchase WarioWare DIY. I'm currently working on my magnum opus: A series of levels based on the hit television program called Lost. Level One: "Arzt!"
James Ransom-Wiley: I plan to be awake all weekend. Geddit?
JC Fletcher (@jcfletcher) Visiting family this weekend, so it's all handhelds for me. If I can kick the Picross 3D habit, I intend to spend some time with Whatever The New Title for Badman 2 Is, My Lord.
Justin McElroy (@JustinMcElroy): I'm going to tuck in to Max Payne 2, see how it holds up. Also, I'd love to learn how to play Neptune's Pride, hit me up on Twitter if you can guru me through it.
Kevin Kelly (@gadgetguy): Still high from my victory in the tournament at last night's Lost Planet 2 launch party, I'm moving back into the (b)Reach of Halo, and spinning up some Alan Wake. Plus I'm seeing how much blood I can put on the mat in that UFC: Undisputed demo. *punch*
Ludwig Kietzmann (@LudwigK): I *think* I'll be playing a lot of Zeno Clash. I'm not entirely convinced, because it's made me want dig out my copy of Breakdown and play that again. It's an underrated gem.
Mike Schramm (@MikeSchramm): I've reached the "good" part of Final Fantasy XIII, finally, so I'll keep trying to make sense of that. I picked up Force Unleashed to play through it, but only because I can't wait for The Old Republic. Also, forming my posse for Red Dead Redemption now -- applicants must be tough as grit and lightning fast with a six shooter.
Randy Nelson (@DangerPenguin) Saturday promises to be chock-full of bowling and The Big Lebowski, but Sunday? I've got it BAD for Bad Company 2.
Richard Mitchell (@SenseiRAM): More Reach than you can shake a gravity hammer at. Also, I've got the first God of War and maybe I'll crack into my ridiculously expensive copy of Panzer Dragoon Saga.
Xav de Matos (@Xav): ...
