The Queue: Worgen for the weekend

Michael Sacco

Welcome back to The Queue,'s daily Q&A column where the team answers your questions about the World of Warcraft. Mike Sacco will be your host today.

No witty intro today; I used it all on the headline. You're welcome.

Gamer am I asked:

"Will the worgen in their non-worgen form just look like humans, or will they somehow look different from humans?"

At this point, it looks like human-form worgen look just like every other human in the game. I was hoping for some kind of distinction, too though it still might happen -- after all, female worgen aren't even done, and male worgen still have only four hairstyles and no secondary customization. There's plenty of time yet.

PolarBear asked:

"Since there are 10 classes, is Blizzard going to give us 10 slots per server any time soon. I have a long-term goal of a max-level of each class (and I'd like to do it on the same server b/c of heirlooms, cash, etc.)"

You actually have ten slots available right now -- the tenth takes the place of the "Create Character" button once you make it. To answer the inevitable followup: no, Blizzard has said they have no plans to increase the number of available character slots.

Grovinofdarkhour asked:

"Dear The Queue,

I'm excited about getting heroic versions of Deadmines and Shadowfang Keep in Cataclysm. But are the NON-heroic versions going to remain at their current levels, or are they going to rise as well, and be like our current Northrend "regular" dungeons? By which I mean, will the choice for each be between (approximately) levels 20 and 85, or 80 and 85?

The non-heroic version of Deadmines in Cataclysm will be roughly the same level as it is now, with some added changes to reflect the passage of time and the changes to Westfall. The level 85 heroic version will exist in the same location and use the same portal.

Amaxe asked:

"I wonder what the lore is to justify worgen druids, when druidism seems to be a Kalimdor based religion and Gilneas cut themselves off well before then. It seems to make more sense to have worgen pallies since they were human."

The beta will go into the closed phase soon and the NDA will be lifted; I'm sure the information will be all over the place in a month or two. I wouldn't worry about it getting swept under the rug.

As for worgen paladins, as much as I'd like to play one, I'm with commenter MightyBurebista on this one -- even though the Church of the Holy Light is main religion in Gilneas, it doesn't appear that the Order of the Silver Hand ever made a foothold there. It also helps to think of the worgen as our faction's Forsaken.

Avan asked:

"What does the term "nuke" mean in WoW?"

A direct-damage spell.
