Does gemming and enchanting your gear affect the dungeon finder's ilevel check? Or is it just the basic ilevel of the untouched item?
Gemming and enchanting have no effect on your item levels, so they don't affect your dungeon finder average either.

Can you be working on more then one rare/epic in archaeology at one time? For instance, if I'm working on a blue dwarf item, do I need to finish it before a blue/purple shows up in trolls or night elf?
You can have multiple rare/epic projects active simultaneously, just not for the same race.
