The Queue: Huzzah!

Welcome back to The Queue, the daily Q&A column in which the WoW Insider team answers your questions about the World of Warcraft. Mike Sacco will be your host today.

Thank goodness for MST3K on Netflix. "Trumpy! You can do stupid things!"

Guilegamesh asked:

Where do all the blues get their names from? I can't find any background on Bashiok, Lylirra, Wryxian, etc. Do they have a secret name generator that produces these unique names, and if there is, how can i get in on it?

As a former blue, I can unequivocally state that they get to choose their own names. The names do have to be approved by higher-ups, though, and they must be "fantasy-sounding." Before I settled on Belfaire, I was also considering Inzmith and Carmagh.

Landry asked:

I have a friend that's big into crafting with his legion of alts. He's come across some hard times and needs to put one or both of his accounts on hold. He's wondering what happens to the mail in his mailbox? Does it still have the 30-day expiration or does the mail get frozen along with the account?

The 30 days ticks away in real time, so he should clear his mailbox before he cancels his subscription. Bear in mind that you cannot suspend game time -- even if you cancel your active subscription, your account will remain active until your remaining game time expires.

Simeon_Halcyon asked:

Let's say you have a level 7 guild, and something comes up that makes your current guild name very undesirable (nothing profane or inappropriate, mind you.) In this situation, barring swallowing the heartache that comes with having to start a guild all over just to change a few words or simply grinning and bearing the incongruent guild title, what does a guild need to do to get their guild title changed?

You can petition a GM to have your guild name changed if you have a decent reason for it, but there's no guarantee that they'll do it. Policy may have changed recently due to guild progression being added to the game, though, so I'd give it a shot.
